1-Altitude – Singapore
1-Altitude is situated at the highest point of Singapore at the top of the One Raffles Place Building. 1-Altitude isn’t just a bar, it’s a three level experience. 1-Altitude stretches over the 3 top floors of the building. Level 61 is a sports bar with a golf simulator. Level 62 is a European restaurant called Stellar. And finally, Level 63 is a gastro bar called 1-Altitude Gallery and Bar. From the top level you are treated to an astounding panoramic view of Singapore, which includes 20 famous landmarks.

There is a huge variety of rooftop bars in Bangkok, but this one is special and favorited by many. It’s a great place to end a busy day in Bangkok, or, if you’re a tourist, it’s a lovely place to see all of the city from the top. The great location of this bar guarantees an amazing view and a wonderful spot for taking pictures. Vertigo Bar is situated on the 61st floor of the Banyan Tree Hotel and the whole floor is dedicated to the bar and a restaurant, which makes it a prime spot for a fancy dinner and drinks at the bar. The bar itself has a very interesting shape, so when you’re in it, it feels like you’re on a spaceship, gliding over Bangkok.

This rooftop bar offers not only spectacular views, but also an amazing party atmosphere. Sky Bar is the heart of the party scene in Bangkok. The DJ’s who play here are the best and the drinks are new every night. The barmen create a new drink almost every night, so you can feel special knowing that the drink you chose has never been on the menu before. A staple drink at the Sky Bar is called Hangovertini, which, as you might already know, has been created for the cast of The Hangover II. Yup, this is that hotel they filmed at. So if you’re a fan of The Hangover II it also doubles as a movie location.

A beautiful and relaxing atmosphere is guaranteed at the Rooftop Gardens in London. This charming bar is situated on the 7th floor at the Babylon restaurant at Kensington-High street. It might not be the highest bar in the world but it definitely makes up for that with its three beautiful gardens, a stream with live fish, palm trees and flamingos. All that on a roof overlooking London. It’s an oasis amidst a busy city. The best thing – you can visit it for free. Or you can look over London and chill while sipping a delicious cocktail.
Aer – Mumbai
Situated on the 34th floor of the Four Seasons hotel, this bar offers a great view of Mumbai. Leave all the stress and clamor and enjoy the beautiful view while having a drink. Aer has a bar and a lounge area where you can relax or party depending on the time of day. There’s a Happy Sunset Hour when you can enjoy drinks at half price, while gazing at the sunset. Later on at night this chill place transforms into a party zone with DJ’s playing upbeat house, club, jazz and funk. The bar is open every night, so whenever you go there, you’re guaranteed a great time.
Mercury Lounge – Four Seasons, Dubai
A new bar opened recently at the Four Seasons in Dubai. This luxurious bar is a truly spectacular place. Situated on the rooftop of the hotel at Jumeirah Beach, it offers an amazing view of Dubai and the beach. Just image witnessing a sunset there. It’s an unforgettable view. The staff is said to be absolutely impeccable and will make sure that all your needs are satisfied. The most unusual thing is the bar itself. Your cocktails will be mixed by the barmen who stands in a huge silver ball that gleams beautifully and looks quite impressive.
Rock Bar- Bali
This isn’t strictly speaking a rooftop bar, but it’s even more impressive than that. This Rock Bar is literally situated on a rock above the Indian Ocean. The bar is actually a part of the Ayana Resort and Spa, so if you wish, you can have a wonderful SPA day and finish it at the Rock Bar, overlooking the ocean. Despite the fact that it’s part of a SPA complex, and most guest go there to view the sunset and enjoy a drink, the Bar is actually quite an upbeat venue, that has DJ’s playing way into the night.
Flair – Shanghai
Situated on the 58th floor of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, this lounge bar is one of the coolest and most fashionable places to hang out. The lounge bar has two zones: indoor and outdoor seating. Overall the Flair can seat 239 people. Apart from drinks the bar serves Asian tapas and raw seafood. The outdoor seating area offers amazing views of the city, so on a sunny day it’s usually crowded with tourists. If you don’t want to deal with lots of tourists, it’s better to come in the evening. That way you can truly enjoy the view, without huge crowds of people.
New York Bar – Tokyo
This rooftop bar is perched on the 52d floor of the Tokyo Park Hyatt skyscraper. The bar was made famous by the movie “Lost in Translation” and is very popular with the fans. However that’s not the only reason to visit it. New York Bar has an amazing view of Tokyo and if you’re a fan of jazz – this is the place to go. There’s jazz performances every night. Upon visiting the bar be prepared to pay an entrance fee, unless you’re staying at the Hyatt. Fortunately for smokers and unfortunately for non-smokers, the bar still allows indoor smoking, so be prepared for that too.
Sky Room – New York
The Sky Room is situated on the top 2 floors of the Times Square building and is the highest rooftop bar in New York City. It’s really easy to find this bar, it’s located on the 40th street between the 8th and 9th Avenue. The lounge itself is huge and consists of a few rooms. The views of Manhattan from this rooftop bar are unforgettable. There’s 2 big terraces, a club and a lounge space. During the day you can enjoy the view from a terrace, while at night the Sky Room becomes a full blown party area where you can dance until the sun comes up.
